I am curious to know if I bought my own boots and running shoes to boot camp or depot would I be allowed to wear them or must I use CG issue?

No. You will wear what the CG issues you.
Honor: if you need it defined, you don’t have it.

Thanks, that may be an issue for me since I have flat feet, I can't just stick my foot in any shoe and expect to be comfortable.

You can get orthodics if you have an issue.

The issued shoes are new balances. They will properly fit you there.
You can meet the standard, or you can set the standard. It's your choice.

Whatever the issue is you have to learn to deal with it. It is called wearing a UNIFORM for a reason. You will all be UNIFORM in your dress. Civilian issue is for just that, civilian wear. You can't just decide Timberland makes an adorable boot that will just have the uniform pants popping if you wore that instead. Again, the boots available per the uniform regulation are what you will wear in the fleet as well.

Well said Old Guard, I respect for the uniform and would need to deal with it. Thanks.
