Should I send sunscreen to boot camp with my son? Or does he buy it there? Or is it not allowed?

Only take what the Helmsman says to bring. Remember what ever is taken must be able to get through the TSA checkpoint.

Just read in the Helmsman that sunscreen is allowed to be brought along. My son won't be going through TSA as we live close to Philly, so he will just be dropped off at the USO. Thanks for the response. I appreciate it.

Dropped off recruits still go through TSA security to get to the USO.

Ok thanks. I didn't realize that. I will send it along. If he has to throw it out, no biggie.

They issue sunscreen at cape may, I still never used it though, not really a lot of time to apply sunscreen while doing fire fire fire.

They issued sunscreen over there. And Jdhusker is right, not a lot of time to apply it. But even if you applied it once or twice during a 05 minute head and water break it will still do some good. Don't send it with him, he'll get it over there. Make sure he applies it to his head too, because my bald head got burned.
