Im getting ready to ship out to bootcamp in the beginning of january of next year. Im getting myself ready for the PFT. Im able to pass the minimum stds for the pushups and run  (47 pushups and 10:45), but the situps always get me. My max is 32. Anyone got any tips to increasing my situp reps? Oh and it also would be nice if you have any tips for me to pass through bootcamp. Much appreciated

My advice is to not be comfortable with your push ups and run. Keep pushing those as well. As for the sit ups, I would start mixing in some planks, flutter kicks, maybe some v-ups, and dead bugs. Work on your form because that will help a lot. As soon as your should blades touch you can relax for half a second without stopping. You don't need to stay completely tense the entire time. Keep your core engaged but relax the hip flexors. It may seem small but every bit helps. A lot of people don't realize that sit ups involve a lot of hip flexors. Don't only do your push ups and sit ups when you're feeling fresh. Do them after a long day or when you're already tired. You will not be fresh in boot camp so you might as well get used to doing them tired.
