I have heard that about three days after getting to the cape may training center, recruits are aloud to send something like a postcard to let their family know they got there safe and the address to send letters to. I was wondering if the postcard is required to be sent to their family or if they can send it to anyone they want to. also when are divine hours so the recruits can write? do they get the divine hours everyday or only once a week?

They will send a postcard with their mailing address and a message telling you not to send them anything that could get them in trouble like care packages. They have to write a specific message and the CC's check it too. They can send it to whoever they want. Divine hours are only on Sundays from 8 am to 1pm. They will eventually earn 10 minutes each night to read or write letters as well. They are basically left alone to do whatever they want, studying, uniform maintenance, letter writing but no sleeping or goofing off.

They can send the postcard to the high school football coach if they want to. There are no rules on who they have to send to.
