    Hello,

I'm 19 and am anxious to join the Coast Guard! I spoke to a recruiter on Weds and brought all documents he requested.. We went over a few things signed a few forms and he told me study for the ASVAB and when I'm ready to let him know and he will put me in (weeks notice) I am so excited to finally have this ball rolling and I can't wait! I am really nervous about boot camp though because I've heard a lot of mixed stories about it

It is a personal choice. Some like the "for dummies" series, some like McGraw-Hill, there are a few others. You just need to look through, decide which one fits your study style. They basically have the same information, it is just layout that you have to like.

Also try making an account on Military.com.
My son spent one summer taking practice ASVABs online there, and it helped his score, and his confidence.
