Hey all, I just wanted to say hi again and thank you all for the support and help from even before the I joined the CG to my first unit in Kenosha. I was previously posting under the user Astlust and as the name suggests, I wanted to be an AST as you may have guessed. I'm still in the CG! It's been about 5 years now and going on my second good conduct. Just wanted to say hi and that I'll be trying to stay active on the forum as long as they're questions. I don't know if you have any IT's that are able to answer questions but I'll be here. I'm sure mKelley gets plenty of messages about AST (thanks for helping to answer MY questions way back mKelley), but I'll try to answer any questions as well about what my experience at AST A-school was like. I've also got a YouTube channel as well where I've been answering questions about the Coast Guard. I'm pretty active on there but I'll be sure to try to log in here and help answer as well. CG's a great service and lots of hungry, intelligent people looking for answers. It's thanks to this forum that a lot of those unanswered questions have been able to be answered. Thank you again, sincerely, -(ASTlust)

Hey I've got a bunch of messages from other swimmers about your youtube video with tips on how to become a swimmer. You can't do a video like that and make it seem like you passed swimmer school. It would be wise of you to be forthcoming and clear that you didn't make it though school.
Great to share what you learned
Not great that the video seems to be made to look like you made it through school.

Thanks for the feedback! I try to be very transparent and clear in all my videos so I will definitely look into how future videos may be perceived. The video is my personal tips on preparing for school and I hope that anyone that aspires to be a swimmer will benefit from my experiences of training and attending. Thanks for all the support you provide on the forum! Cheers

I see where there may have been some confusion on the video and I am making corrections to make it clear I am not an AST and did not make it through all the way. Thank you for addressing the concerns and it will be corrected!

MJM, I was interested to see how you were going to respond to that. You handled that very well.
