I'm JT. I am 28 and I am in the process of joining the USCGAux. I was medically disqualified from serving in an active capacity because I have only one kidney. The USCGAux is my opportunity to serve my country and wear the uniform.

The aux is a great group of people. I'm active duty but still a member of the auxiliary and volunteer my time when I can. I'm one of the few people at my unit who has experience with the auxiliary and understand what they do. Welcome aboard and thank you for volunteering your time.

Welcome aboard. Both my sons started in the Aux and are now active duty. In your picture you look like you are wearing a clerical collar. If so, are you aware there is a program in the Aux for clergy, and they may support the active duty? I don't know the details off hand, but if you are interested I can point you in the right direction.
