My boot camp date starts soon and I just wanted to go in with a little bit of more knowledge. I’m aware the coast guard salutes warrant officers. Do we also Salute starting at officers starting at O-1? |

Why would you not salute O1 and higher? If you are saluting Warrants, wouldn't it stand to reason, you'll salute Ensigns? |

Unless something has changed, you'll be saluting pretty much everyone in boot camp other than other recruits. I believe the proper boot camp greeting, with a salute, is "Sir, what's up, sir!" |

10th General Order, "to salute all officers and all colors and standards not cased". So in English salute all warrant officers and all commissioned officers O1 to O10. You salute officers of all branches of the military, NOAA Corps and Public Health Service. Study that Helmsman and good luck. |
