    I was thinking Lima-182...
Either way, glad there is at least one other person on this board with my ship date :)

I am sure either would be happy no matter if assigned to Lima or November or Purple Mango 182 as long as they are in Cape May scurrying off a bus in the late evening hours on September 29...lol

    Congrats y'all :-)

yeah, i think you may be right on it being Lima-182. i had it figured out based on grad dates for other companies on this page.

I screwed up my math somewhere in the process.

we will find out one way or another when we arrive.

Good luck guys - you'll do just fine.

Make it through the first night, then the first week, and the second week. After that - the days fly by. Stay awake in class (even if you have to stand), and push hard at everything you do. Push your shipmates to do their best as well and you all will form into a machine before you know it. It really is amazing how quickly a group of 90+ recruits can be transformed into 1 unit. You'll see shortly...

Thanks USCGforMe...I am currently in that excited/nervous/sad phase.  I am more sad about leaving my dog than leaving my husband ;)  I know my hubby will be fine, but my dog tends to shun me when I leave for a trip and come back...shakehead

8 weeks is nothing in the long run, I am just hoping time flys.  I hear the days are long but the weeks go by quickly, and I know I will be giving it my all and trying to boost morale for those that may be having a hard time.

Thanks to everybody on this board for all the help and encouraging words!

You guys will do great!!!! Just imagine it now: graduation day, your thoughts: "wow finally here," "what an experience and a roller coaster at that!" The sound: a cadence, the audience clapping, and the National Anthem. Your thoughts now: "I am a member of the United States Coast Guard, the best maritime military/law enforcement/life saving agency in the world, and I earned this." Just then you see your family and dog, and all is well once again.

    Good luck!!!
