Is it possible to do a conditional release from the Navy and switch to Coast Guard without a break in service, for someone with 9 years active, and over 6 years of H60 experience (H-60R/S) as a AM?

My son has two non rates working for him. Both had 8 years active time. They had to get waviers. Contact a recruiter and ask.

Yes it is, I did it.
I was an AM on 60s. I joined in 2015 when the AMT rate was severely hurting for people and on the critical rate list. With that being said, timing is everything.
the 6 years of active duty will count against you for high year tenure. You have to make 2nd class by 10 years.
Private message me if you want more information on how I transferred over .

Did you ever figure this out? I have spent the last 7 months working on this same thing, and FINALLY got answers.
