Hello my Name is Francis and Í´m from Germany. Sorry my english is not the best.

I and other fans of the actor Jim Davis make a Homepage about his life. www.JimDavis.de

We often read he was 2 and a half year at the coast guard. approximately 1943-1946.

But we found no information at the internet.

Can everyone tell us more about him or gives a office how can help us?

Maybe one of them can tell us or is there an office that can help us?

Thanks and best wishes from Germany

Jim Davis did serve on U.S.C.G. L.S.T. 766 during WW2. This was know only to those who served with him at the time. Unfortunately none of the crew of the LST 766 are still alive. As far as I know they are all deceased. My father talked about serving with him and went to see him back in 1969 in California but he was not at home.
