    I'm trying to get info on the coast guard and being a merchant mariner. I'm a new guy. and don't know how this works. so i apologize if i'm doing not doing this right. not trying to piss anyone off... I need help. any and all help will be greatly appreciated. thanks..

    The Coast Guard is the smallest branch of the armed services. The merchant marines sail on board certain civilian vessels. Now if you're interested in the Coast Guard I can help you, the merchant marines however I cannot. Have you visited gocoastguard.com?
