Has anyone heard of getting an age waiver for over 40 (42), to get back into the reserve. 9 years in CG reserve, 4 year break, now currently finishing 3 year Army NG commitment. NG enlistment was due to having a hard time getting a CG recruiter to call back when I mentioned prior service. I regret getting out, so I figured it’s worth another try. I realize HYT might be another obstacle too. Any insight would be helpful, thanks.

I've not heard of it. As you're aware, the big deal is being able to get your 20 by age 60 (mandated retirement age for enlisted and Warrants). The four year break in service may cause an issue, and as you pointed out, HYT as well. HYT has not been in play for Reservists for the past two years, but that could change at any time.
