On the USCG Recruiting website there is mention that a Reserve Officer can have a career in environmental management but it doesn't go into any details. I have no local recruiter and am waiting until Monday to call the closest one but does anyone here have any information about this Officer rating? By the time I begin officer training I will have completed a B.S. in Environmental Studies. Is that enough or are they looking for only those trained with a M.S. or higher? Thanks!

Have you looked into the Direct Commission Environmental Officer program? You can learn more about it on gocoastguard.com

You can meet the standard, or you can set the standard. It's your choice.
