I currently have 24 credits, after next semester I take and any A School credits, I will be looking at 36 credits, When will I be eligible to request to go Officer? Is this something I can do as a Non Rate?

You can request it as a nonrate if you have your Bachelor's completed, not just a handful of credits. You can apply without a degree after E5 I believe, please someone correct me if my information is outdated. But then you are expected to complete your degree.

You are putting way too many carts ahead of your single horse. Have you taken the ASVAB or been to MEPS yet? Please take these steps one at a time. If you were asking if you are eligible for OCS with the credits you have, that's one thing. But you are asking how fast can I bounce to Ensign with as little work as possible, a smattering of credits here and there. First step recruiter, second step background checks, third step ASVAB and MEPS, fourth step getting a ship date. There is an order to this. You are trying to run a marathon before you've taken a first step. I applaud your wanting to advance and be productive, always look to what the future can do for you. Just get there in the right order. Keep asking the questions, just ask them the right way. I saw your post about the CCW and I understand your question, but again you asked it in a way that was very easy to misconstrue.

Thank You Old Guard 2, Yes I have done the steps you mentioned. I was simply weighing the option of joining enlisted or waiting until I finish School. Thank you again for your answer and explanation. Very Much Appreciated.

    https://www.gocoastguard.com/active-duty-careers/officer-opportunities/programs/officer-candidate-school-ocs

This site has the most up to date info and criteria for programs to get into the Enlisted or Officer side. Overall, they are very different roles in the CG, and it isn't easy to go from one to the other. Also, I saw that you were posting about ME's or Maritime Law Enforcement as well. If you have questions about either, I can help. I'm an ME and I've made the Alternate List on the last couple OCS T panels.

"When will I be eligible to request to go Officer?" Look at the different programs available, and see when or what criteria you meet. If you don't meet any, research how you want to improve yourself so you can be competitive.

"Is this something I can do as a Non Rate?" Look at the programs and see what applies to E2-3's. If you want to be an Officer, have you applied for the Academy? Other military ROTC programs like The Citadel or Virginia Military Institute?

    Hope this helps.
