Seriously; who did this to us and why!!!! Bring back the old system! I'm so sad I don't like this at all. I want the old forum, with the links already set up, one's I can check in on and see how everyone was doing, ones with established links like 'coast guard families'! boo hoo. |

As everyone who logs back in will know, the site has been recreated. Not because of anything more than a massive server issue with a host company. While it is not the best to wake up to, after talking with the owner, we will have a robust site that has a greater ability to expand and grow. This could be a blessing in disguise... Remember the site is just the paper, its the members that have the heart to share and the ability to inspire. Any ideas you would like to see implemented? A short excerpt from the emails I have had with the owner, Here is the latest. It looks like my hosting service was sold to another company. They are not getting things back together. All of my data is still missing I see many other sites are in the same situation I am. I have decided to stop waiting for them and re-start the site on another host. I will try and recover the old forum and all the old posts, but it will take time. Moving forward we have to start over and recreate the groups and the users will have to recreate their logins. The owner is being proactive and working hard to do what he can both for our community, and the data. Chukles,

USCG.ORG withdrawals were eating me up... Getting used to is an understatement but what the heck it might be worth an old college try! I will visit a few more times to see how it works for me. |

It's nice to be back. In time, posts will be built back up and all the valuable (and invaluable) information will be at easy access again. Personally, I like this new format. |

Does this mean I get to tell my stories all over again??? HAHAHAHA Hi everyone! Glad to see a lot of people are finding their way home again. I do agree with Kyle... the font is mighty darn tiny! That would be my only suggestion at this time, to maybe increase that just a pitch or 3. Oh and Chukles, we all know you are a flyboy but only a helo and no ships??? What's up with that?? LOL Just teasing! |

Whew! I was having heart palpitations! We are 3 weeks until Boot Camp here and I need you all more than ever! And then i'll need you EVEN MORE! Tuesday my Coastie-to-be Son graduates from HS. Whew. Funny how this graduation after 4 years of work now seems a bit less important than graduation from 8 weeks of bootcamp in 11 weeks from today. (Whoa..whoa! wow...) High school is a requirement, but Coast Guard is a commitment and a decision HE made. We're busy packing up the last of house. The next few weeks are going to be absolutely crazy! Graduation, Big Move North and then back to Miami to bring him to MEPs. |

Nick, I don't think anyone had any warning, including the owner and the moderators! There were server problems and down it went, out of the control of everyone! But it is good to be back. |
