If anyone is interested in traveling to Seward, AK for a honeymoon, hunting expedition, or to score an Eskimo kiss or two, I have a good friend who owns a bed and breakfast there. Despite the fact that he's a BM, he's a great guy.
Check out his site at www.sewardlostlakelodge.com

That would be one heck of a transfer...not sure I can talk the wife into a bed and breakfast but I will keep this in mind when we travel to Alaska one of these days for our 25th anniversary, which was 3 years ago this July...a little past due...LOL |

Kyle, Why not?? B&B's are gorgeous and there are probably more B&B rooms in some towns than hotels! She doesn't know what she's mising by not staying at one at least for part of a visit. They can be a great experience. |

When your transfer date comes, why not let us pick your next duty station. I'm starting my research right now. There's a great CG station North to Alaska, with occasional airplane service you might like |

Pepper...too funny... I feel ATTU is a great location to send some of these MEPS people...so I vote Gears gets a little better location...lol Macie, it is the staying in someone's house sharing the facilities...we both are kind of private, we tried a bed and breakfast for a get away to Hot Springs Arkansas and we just did not feel comfortable...so I am pretty sure she would not want to do that again...I do know lots of people that like them better... Dogs are cool pepper...

I was hoping to find a job where all I have to do is rest under palm trees and observe the local wildlife... |

Gears, you needed to be an MST to get that sort of life. LOL Kyle, I can understand that. I had to live in a B&B for 31 days when we got to Valdez because our housing wasn't ready. I guess I got used to it really quickly! We were also given a room with a private bath but that could be because we were there for 31 days and we had a 3year old child with us. Oh the fun & excitement of a military move! LOL Pepper, I'll bring my 3 dogs and then we will all go to a hotel! HAHA |
