Just wondering if someone could describe some of the roles and typical stuff LEDET does.   I am interested in becoming LEDET.  I was also looking into TACLET.  But I noticed Taclet is made up of LEDET.  So could someone help a NOOB out and free up some info.  Much appreciated!!

I too am curious about LEDET and TACLET. I assume these units are only available after ME A-school, but that's just a guess. Hopefully someone on here has some insight on these units, how to get into them, and where these units are specifically located.

Hey guys, Just a liitle insight. You were traking correctly. TACLET(S); TACLET South, and PACTACLET are the commands. The LEDET's are the small teams within in the TACLET commands, kinda like deployable platoons or squads that go and do the work.

Its a common mistake. Alot of people think they are two different entities. Not to walk the fine line of OPSEC, daily life consist of lots of tactical training and PT. A Cutter boarding team is a great place to learn the basics of tactical LE Boarding, then work gets more advanced when you move into the DSF such as the MSST's and progress to the LEDETs, and finally after time in and experience, opportunities may open up for a few to try out for The MSRT- DAS.
