    My husband and I are about to have a baby and were looking for stations close to home which is in Georgia.  We are stationed in Puerto Rico right now and are priority 2 coming out but Georgia seems to be very popular for BMs.  There is one billet open on an 87 that has been open for a while because no one seems to want it.  I was wondering if anyone knew why this was unwanted and how bad this particular job could be for him. We dont mind the cutter life...infact that's all we know we just want to make sure that it isnt one of those billets that drive people insane.

    Have him call the unit and speak to a few of those stationed there. They will be able to give you the best advice.
    I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a trusted Coastie, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves.

    The GA/Tybee Island area is nice if you like the south. An 87' is great duty though. I spent 2 years on one in TX, and I'm hoping to go back to another one.

    Thanks.....I think he is going to call them and see what the deal is but he is a slight procrastinator so if I can find a way to do it sooner I try.  We definitely love the south...he actually sent me back up to Georgia to have our baby because with the few hospital and doctors experiences we have had down in PR he is terrified so he sent me home....I will let him know what I found out though...that should make him feel better
