I served in the Navy for 13 1/2 years; 5 1/2 enlisted
as a Nuclear Electrician's Mate
and 8 as a Nuclear Surface Warfare Officer.
I was separated with a General discharge and a "Misconduct" separation code for fraternization. We have now been happily married and have 2 kids.
During both my officer and enlisted time, I received above average fitreps for everything except for the one regarding the fraternization. My question is, in your experience, is it possible to join the Coast Guard Reserves under these conditions? I don't want to waste the recruiters time or mine if it is too much of a long shot. I do however miss the open waters and witnessed some of the amazing things that the Coast Guard did in the gulf.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
