Greetings,
I am a new member of this forum as of about 20 minutes ago, but I have been actively reading the topics for about a year now.

I was just wondering if there is any possible way to know if the CG is planning on accepting [civilian] applicants for FY 2012 OCS?
Also, for you former and active USCG officers, from your experience would it be better to enlist (either active duty or reserve) prior to applying for OCS? (i.e. would I have better chances of being accepted into OCS if I was enlisted.)
Sorry to drag this topic out, but if I am interested in pursuing a career as a helo pilot in the USCG and I were to enlist, is there a specific enlisted rating I need to shoot for to better my chances at getting into flight school and/or OCS?
I do have two four-year degrees, but I'm not sure how much the panel actually weighs degrees over time of service -- any details pertaining to that topic is much appreciated as well! (I know there is many topics concerning the interview/panel, so I don't want to much time wasted at repeating answers... a simple link to another topic is perfectly fine as well.)
Thanks!
