I just received a short phone call from my fiance who is Kilo 185 week 2 and he said that he has not received any of my letter yet...I have mail a letter almost everyday since he left. I recieved a letter from him but he has not received anything from me yet? Do they hold the mail?

They do not hold mail, that is illegal. It takes awhile for the mail to start getting to them because it's slow on base, the mail is sorted by recruits. From my own experience, once they start getting mail, it usually comes pretty regular, but it takes a couple of weeks to start getting mail to begin with. They usually only are allowed (or only have time) to read mail on Sundays during divine hours. Consider yourself very lucky to get a phone call in week 2!

The call wasnt to fun. He is being reverted due to medical. but I still have no details.

medical might further delay his letters. Sometimes I would get mail that was sent friday before mail that was sent 4 days before it. Hope everything turns around for him.

How far is he being reverted? If its by 1 company he will be with my boyfriend!

I hope he is ok. Medical isn't normally considered reverted, that's rephased. Either way, nothing to worry about. He'll be fine. Medically he is in excellent hands to be cared for. They may push recruits hard but they also know how to care for them with the same devotion to duty! Any letters going forward will need to be addressed to the new company and new hall. He may go back one week, he may go back more, depends upon what the medical issue is. Best of luck but not to worry, it happens. He will be just fine.
