I know it is tough. I told my son before he left if he only had time to write one letter or make one call he could call his girlfriend as long as she let us know- I didn't want to put any additional stress on him about who to write. The first week he only had enough time for one letter - he sent it to us (family) but wrote a note on the back to give to his girlfriend - but now we have received 3 letters and the girlfriend has received 2 but he seems to tell her more about what's going on compared to us - but that is okay.

Hey everyone! Just want to say to HANG IN THERE! I don't think it ever gets easy until the day you get to see them. Although I was able to talk to my BF for almost 2 hours this past Saturday, it was hard hanging up. I cried when he told me he had to go. AND although I have less than 2 weeks to go, it's still hard. Because the BIG day is sooo near, I'm starting to feel anxious now. The days seem to be going by slower now. I'm having the hardest time falling asleep at night because my thoughts are only of him. I'm excited yet antsy. Well, just wanted to share that with you guys. BEST OF LUCK once again!

All of you are admired by me!! I have taken all of your advice and it does help. Havent gotten a letter for few days-but I did tell him to concentrate on the big picture-not to worry bout writting if he needed the time for something else-guess he listened!!!! I always let him know how PROUD we are of his decision and how much we love him. Cant seem to tell him enough!! I know what yall mean about this time of the year; my son loved hunting and we havent even been out yet. Other three boys miss him sooo much too! Concentrating that extra energy on them helps me. Cant wait to see him in uniform!! YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!!!!!

This is one of the greatest boards - I just cannot say it enough. When I look at how much we have all bonded I can't even imagine how much our kids must bond after going threw boot camp together.

Likewise!!!! This site has perhaps been the best thing that I could've come across during this hard time. EVERYONE has been so great and supportive. When I was talking to my boyfriend this past Saturday, I couldn't help but get excited when I was telling him about all of you guys on here. He was REALLY HAPPY to hear that I was able to find a group of people who was helping me through these past so many weeks. SO...THANKS ONCE AGAIN EVERYONE!
