Beyond thrilled, called my poor husband at work to tell him and cried so hard he barely understood me Can't wait to get a 'real' letter to get a sense of how he's doing. Getting pretty good at accepting the 'no news is good news' motto. They are a small group (44) which I'm sure has pros and cons, but totally looking forward to reading journals to hear how they're coming together. So excited to hear all about his journey.

My Daughter shipped on the same day and was supposed to be in Uniform-185, when we received the letter on Oct-2 it said Victor-185. We received one letter from her yesterday Oct-5 saying that the companies were split in 2 and she is in Victor-185. She said that she is getting used to it and that the days are very long. We are praying for her and her shipmates to make it through fine. Would love to hear from anyone who has info on V-185.

sketchesj12 think your letter should be fine. I didn't use the zip code extension either shouldn't hold it up at all and if you put the V-185 that is the company, not spelling out Victor should be fine. Don't think you have anything to worry about ..... you could always write 100 more just to make sure :0

Congratulations on the baby!! It is hard with them away but just hang in there and keep writing the letters to update him and support him. He's doing a great thing for your family's future.

Received our 1st real letter yesterday Our son sounds 'good' and his sense of humor appears intact all good stuff to us. Passed his swim/tread water test late last week and is glad to have that out of the way. He said it's tough but nothing he can't handle.....can't ask for any more than that.

Sketches, the only thing I would suggest on your letters... Full last name, full first name, middle initial. If there are to J Smith's in the company it might go to Jeff when you want it to go to John. Otherwise, don't worry about the rest as far as zip or spelling Munro wrong. Quick history lesson, the street is named after Douglas Munro, the only Coastie to ever win the Medal of Honor. Not a bad thing to know.

    Congrats on the little one!
