I knew you would come back around. You are too sweet to hold a grudge on a recruiter. |

Im trying....hey,just out of curiousity who writes the company journal entries on trace? With both my ex and I being English teachers,Alex is apretty good writer. I just wonder if they Pi med an SR or had someone on staff. Are divine hours just Sunday and is that the only writing time? Wheat week are they finally allowed to see their mail? Can you throw some bootcamp terms and slang my way? For instance what's the field/gar's/practice space outside their hall called, and anything. That's like inside joke terms...like calling them Twinkies? I'm writing him a parody of the Night Before Christmas, and those details would make it resonate and be funnier. Fha.ks Yoda! |

Rusty, Are you posting from your phone again?? LOL That is one heck of a spelling nightmare for an English teacher. HAHAHA The journals are written by a recruit in that company. Someone either volunteers or someone is voluntold to perform the duty. So Alex might have a good shot at askign for it, should be want to do that. Sunday are the only divine hours. Those are the times for church, writing, studying, ironing, polishing brass/boots. That sort of stuff. They get mail when they have earned it. Some get it very early in week 2, some might not see it until the end of week 2, maybe even week 3. The company and the recruits sort of set their own fate as far as it has always been explained to me. Slang terms for things you would be better asking one of our young Coasties (or the old ones) that have been there. I'm sure there are a boatload of those terms that I don't know or translate incorrectly! |

Yeah,I'm mostly typing on my kindle fire with touch pad. I have small fingers but they seem like hams on here. Sadly, spelling has never been my strength.Spell check generally helps a lot,but it's still pretty obvious on casual pieces. Blushing now. I gave my new laptop to Alex, so I'm more crippled than ever. Should improve once I get north on the 16th. Thanks |

I swear I had a brain once upon a time..... Duh....in detail, pretty please can you tell me how to join a group on Facebook, such as the USCG Moms you mentioned and when Alex's company creates one. I've never done it and even the boys, who are generally tech gurus, don't know the ways. Also, in addition to my brain falling out, I'm apparently blind in one eye and can't see out of the other....I can't find the Zulu group you mentioned in connection with the stockings...I got the pay pay link working, but thought I'd like to look at what I'm purchasing before I do so. I swear to you, I truly can think and write....or at least I could!! @@ |

Good grief.....I found and asked to join Charlie 186, which I believe to be Alex's company....he ships out Dec. 13, and if I read the pattern correctly that should be it....however I have put in USCG Parents, Family and Friends....USCG Parents, Friends and Family ....just USCG and I can't find the silly thing. What am I doing wrong now???? |

Hey everyone! Just wanting to double check on a grad date.. My boyfriend shipped out Dec. 6th and I was thinking that his graduation would be February 3rd, but it seems from what I've read on here that it will actually be January 27th> If that's correct I will be super happy, but I just wanted to get a conformation before I jump for joy!! I've been trying to find as much info as I can online about everything since his mom and I are still waiting on the letter telling us his address and all that information. If anyone has some helpful websites or advice please let me know! Thanks i advance!! -Elizabeth |

27 January will be his graduation date. arrival week, even though short, counts as week one. |
