davbnv, can you elaborate on the Christmas stocking program? This is something I hadn't heard of and other parents might be reall interested in it. I would like to know what all is included and how you go about ordering one?! Thanks.

Description
The Jersey Cape Military Spouses club is selling stockings for recruits that will be on base over the holiday season. The proceeds will go towards our scholarship program that is used to help Coast Guard dependents further their educational goals. The cost of the stocking is $20.00 and will be filled with personal hygiene items such as toothbrush, toothpaste, lip balm, hand lotion, hand sanitizer and other similar items along with a holiday card from the local elementary school. We have to limit the purchase to ONE stocking per recruit. If you would like to purchase a stocking for another recruit that would be fine and greatly appreciated. The deadline for purchases will be December 21 and we will be hand delivering the stockings to your recruits on Christmas Eve. Thank you for your support and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

When purchasing your stocking, on the verify info page is a button to send a note to seller. Click on the "add" button and you can write a short note to the recruit. please include recruit name and company!

I already ordered a stocking for my recruit son 2 weeks ago. It's a fantastic thing the USCG wives r doing. The stocking will be hand delivered on Christmas. It will have goodies and a gift card to use at the exchange. I just can't wait to see them running!
