Not unless they are reverted for a month in which case they may face discharge.

I suppose if someone is rephased for medical and they end up being there a month or more, that would count towards leave time earned. Does that mean they can take 7 days because they will have earned it? I don't know for sure, but I doubt it. Orders are cut to arrive 5 days (not calculating travel time) after boot camp graduation. I would just think unlike most boots reporting to their unit, a rephased non-rate will have a little time available on the books already.

I do agree with Gears that a reverted boot for a month probably is going to be on permanent leave from the Coast Guard. Leah, they don't calculate the days for one extra week or two extra weeks. You get 2.5 days for a month. So if your husband is reverted 2 weeks he won't get an additional 1.25 days, 1 week would be .625 day. Leave can't be taken for a .625 day.

I'm just trying to find the silver lining. My hubby's failed the push-up requirement, and is now in DHE. He was told that he won't be discharged for not meeting the requirements, they will just keep re-phasing him. He has one more chance to pass and still graduate with Yankee, so there is still hope that I won't be spending Christmas alone!

My advice to him is to crank out push ups every day, every chance he gets even if it's 10 at a time. The last thing he want is to get stuck there because of 2 missed pushups.
