    I just received a letter from my son in J178 He said there are 105 recruits in his comp now, and they have to get down to 76. I don't know why. He also said they will get on base liberty if they pass the manual of arms test. Is that a company test or individual test? They also get to call their units and get information about reporting. It was a smallpox shot they got last week. Did anyone else hear from their son today.

    Your lucky you get your mail early.  I have to wait until later this afternoon. My son had mentioned that to me before about getting their numbers down to 76 as well.  It makes you nervous!  But I do know there have been companies with over 100

    My boyfriend's in Company I! He also mentioned that CCs are trying to get his company numbers down. He said they're really trying to weed out the weak and keep only the best. His company started with 60 something and when I talked to him, it was down to 43. His CCs still want it smaller though. From what he said, those that have been reverted so far were those who were slacking, completely not listening/following orders, OR unable to pass the physcial/schooling test. He aslo mentioned that there were a few in his company who couldn't handle the whole thing so they quit.

    Anyway, if you know your love one would have no problem with the things I mentioned above then there's no need to worry.lol

    I got a letter today as well. My husband says he's doing okay, but getting frustrated at how often they're getting 'incentive training' due to people screwing up. He is also still on board with the whole having a baby idea =) He said he can't wait to come home, take a shower to wash away bootcamp, order a pizza from our favorite place and watch Family Guy lol. I bet everyone there has their one thing they can't wait to do again. It's scary thinking that the CC's still want to revert that many people!!

    Got a letter today from my son - he sounded really good. Was excited he got a 96 on his mid-term - loved the shooting range - and past all of his physical fitness test. Said the time is going quick. This letter was really a good one.I couldn't work all day waiting on a letter - now I can't work because I'm so excited I got a letter and need to tell all my friends.  I hope everyone else gets a letter today as well.

    a performance tracker is something they get when they are caught doing something they aren't supposed to or if their uniform or bed isn't up to par. My boyfriend wrote and said some people in his company had got up to 20 performance trackers, but most had 5-6 and he'd only got 2.

    My son wrote about one of his friends that found out his wife was going to have a baby. I wonder if that was your son.

    PLY508! I didn't get my letter today either! Don't worry... it will come tomorrow. I'm all the way in Hawaii so it takes one extra day than those on the westcoast.
