Found this video about the new coast guard ODUs, they are supposed to be available for everyone at the end of September, looks like we probably wont get them as our first

Im sure of our graduation being October 19th, but I keep checking the visitor website for cape may and the graduation dates are consistently 2 weeks apart, the latest one being October 12th...but there is no way we can graduate October 26th because that is 9 weeks...anybody else able to confirm October 19th as our gradaution, I know azcoastiemom said it was 19th for sure

I got up today and looked at the members and I saw someone's picture in a Drill instructor or company commander outfit. So I looked at his page and it turns out he's going to be our company commander (he said he was teaching echo 187) so just be warned, he's already watching us, haha!

hahah, yeah strife I heard they have an eye on us ahead of time to get any dirt on us if we do anything that stands out...i purposely got rid of my facebook about a year ago knowing I was heading into the CG, I didnt want any added attention otherwise I would be on that group. But that's cool we got a look ahead who the CC is. Looking forward to meeting you all and doing this together

Just got some word from my recruiter and there will be 53 people in our boot camp group!

Wow we have a pretty small company.

yeah wow we do have a small company, it may be because we are the last group for the fiscal year. Does anyone know what hall we will be in?? Im curious bc we already know our graduation and company so seeing if anyone knew our hall....I think it will end up being Munro but dont quote me on that for sure. The company that shipped out August 21st is in Healy so we are Munro or James

knowing what hall we are going to be in will be helpful to know before hand so I can leave my family all the info to send mail. Over the course of the last few graduations the companies have been getting smaller and smaller, but I had no idea that we are the last for the FY. Also, I wonder out of the 53 to be in Echo 187 if any will drop or not ship for this boot camp. Might get smaller yet. Just 4 days left I am getting excited and nerves. As far a Required Knowledge I think i have it all down. I have been trying to recite them out of order and I have been working on the different ranks and learning what each one looks like (shoulder, collar, and cuffs).

Yep we're in James, the CC on the Facebook page posted he'd be in James hall with Echo 187!
But don't we have to call each other by last names and rank? I guess we'll learn Tuesday night.

Thanks for the Hall info and from what i have been reading at some point we will refer to CC's by their rank and last name and we will refer to ourselves as Seamen Recruit (last name). But at first we will just use ma'am and sir sandwiches.

We have 21 females and 32 males in our company.

I just wanna say one last hoorah to everyone...i cant wait to meet you all and look out for one another, this is gonna be a once in a lifetime experience and lets kick some ass! see you all tuesday. I dont even know 99% of you but its already a pleasure to serve next to you all. Its not just our job, its a lifestyle, we chose to serve this world, people and our country because its what we do, out of devotion and honor

I just headed out the door, last time at my house for awhile.. I can't wait to meet you all and to start this journey together.
I agree this is more than just a job I'm going into but a whole new passion I'll follow my whole life, when i think about what i want to do the rest of my life, i see this as the best job in the world.
I'd rather follow through with this than be famous or anything like that.
