So I am waiting for boot and I know A school will be far away but I am wondering if AMT's can be a BTM and/or MSST/Taclet like teams? I Want to do a rate that can translate well into where ever I go. I would really like to be a AMT or GM but I would also like to be a BTM and/or MSST team member. Thanks!

AMTs are not at MSSTs or TACLETs. You can go there as a GM though. If you want to be a BTM, the aviation ratings won't give you that opportunity. BMs and MKs are our primary BTM members.

Aviation can still get you some LE experience through AUF or Aviation Use of Force. Also, there are aviation personnel that work with the MSRT however that is on hold right now. You can be an AMT and an aerial gunner, kind of like a cross between AMT and GM. Something else to keep in mind, if you want to be an AMT you are looking at a 2-3 year wait for A school and you will have the opportunity to become a BTM as a FN/SN.

You MIGHT have the opportunity to be a BTM as a FN or SN. It depends on the unit, the missions, and the need for BTMs.

Very true, my apologies, Gears is absolutely correct, you MAY have the opportunity, it is not a guarantee. However, I have discovered that if you want to achieve something, there is always a path to do so!
