Hello all, I've been transfixed with just about everything on here and am just now getting a chance to make a presence. I'm just kicking off the whole process and will meet with my recruiter to sign the initial documents and set up MEPS/ASVAB dates next week. I'm currently getting my degree in Criminal Justice, but the military was always in my heart. After figuring out AF ROTC wasn't for me and then USMC, I finally found my niche! Like a lot of people I didn't really know much about the Coast Guard until I started doing some serious digging and I fell in love. For a lot of reasons, I don't want to go Officer just yet-I want to experience Coastie life as Enlisted and with any luck would LOVE to be an AST.
Regardless, I'm honored to have this opportunity and hope to be among all of you in just over a year.
