    Just thought id stop in and say hi! I'm waiting to hear from my local recruiter about jointing the coast guard as active duty. Im looking at either IS or OS but havnt made a decision. I'm looking at following in my dads footsteps he's retired coast guard anyways - hello out there!

    Will do! Trying to wait and hear from the local recruiter. I called him about a day and an half ago - havnt heard anything back yet. I have some questions - let me find my list an ill ask you guys as well!

    Just thought i'd give a little update. Took the asvab, got an AFQT score of 75. Went to MEPS yesterday for my physical and biometrics and all that jazz. Just waiting on my ship dates now. Recruiter submitted my info for my ship dates, just waiting to hear back on that now. MEPS went fine, got an all clear, just had to dig up and submit some paperwork from a surgery i had on my arm when i was a kid. Looking foward to getting past the background check, DEP, then basic
