I am highly interested in becoming an engine man, or something of it. I have worked with cars and around them for years, within technical schooling too, always wanted to work with cars and diesel engines. I have not seen much about engine mans and the USCG, mainly just info about the Navy. If I could pursue my dreams/aspirations of becoming a master engine/diesel technician within the USCG, I would absolutely love life. Hahaha.  

The CG doesn't have Engineman.. We are Machinery Technicians and are responsible for everything that rotates, radiates, and reciprocates. Feel free to ask me anything.

I see. Well thanks, Did you go to through A Schooling? I'm assuming your a Machinery Tech here, But how did you go about acquiring the title?

I went to "A" school, yes. Earned the title by working really hard at first unit, working really hard at "A" school and graduating on time.

Sounds good, Do you know what you have "atleast" score on the ASVAB to qualify?

You'll need a 75 or above to qualify for the CG. You can get a 50 and still qualify to be an MK if you test well on the mechanical aptitude section.
