I had printed out and started filling out my OCS packet about a month ago and I went back onto the USCG site and it has changed.

I had well over 25-30 pages I printed out and typed but now according to the site there seems to be only 7 or 8 pages to print and fill out.

My recruiter is out of the office for 2 weeks, but is that right only 7 or 8 pages?

Yes. The checklists have recently changed. Go by the new list.

Cooch- Does it have to be typed? And if so there are some untypeable spots for signatures mostly.

Having them typed definitely looks more professional. I would say if you're going to type one, type them all, and if you're going to hand write one, hand write them all. If it doesn't come out looking right, your recruiter should be able to retype them with the form templates we have in our computer system.

Think about how much work it saves you while you work on your single package. Now multiply that by 20, and that's how much work it saves me. I'm a fan of the new checklists

Me too. I had already filled out the ENTIRE old package, but I needed to print off the checklist again and complete it because I left it blank and wrote all over it for my own self notes. This package could take literally 2 hours to do compared to I think it took me like 6 hours to print out all the papers and then start filling them out for the old one.

The only part of this packet I really am struggling with is personal awards..... I am going to PM you.
