    Just curious,
When a recruit has to go through one of the remedial trainings for swimming, pt, or pep, when during the day do they do this? And what is the rest of the company doing? Are they missing anything "fun" (used lightly) or important while in the training?

I plan on avoiding either of those like the plague...
    But just wanted to know

    Thanks in advanced!!

PEP no longer exists. It has been replaced by RAMP. During RAMP, you will wish that you were enjoying the same "fun" as the rest of the company because for three days, you will be going through the most intense "fun" imaginable.

Remedial swim begins at either 0500 or 0530, I forget which, so that it is not interfering with the rest of your training.

If you do everything you are supposed to, you shouldn't have to worry about RAMP. If you practice your swimming prior to getting to Cape May, the swim test should be very manageable.
You can meet the standard, or you can set the standard. It's your choice.

PT and swimming remedial are as Cooch stated 0530, wake up usually 0445-0500 makes for LONG days. If you fail both you must complete and pass swimming first then go to PT until you pass. RAMP is all day for three days. You will meet up with your company (but still separated from them) for classes and whatever else is on your schedule for the company.
    It's Hammer Time!!

I hot to go in at 4:30 for remedial swim, why is it so late now?
