Well, Josh did it .. a week into duty in HI and here is what he got.. (well I was gonna post pictures but I don't see where I can..)

Aww its ok mackey, hes a big boy, I hope he did his paperwork before he got that. Beau told me that you have submit a chit (not sure hows its spelled) before you get any body alterations since your property of the uscg.

I don't know- I'm not responsible for his actions anymore.. LOL I guess if he didn't they can handle it..

Colin got his first tattoo in Hawaii, too. Of course he was only 17 and not in the CG yet. He was on spring break vacation with his dad & stepmom. The tattoo parlor made me fax a copy of my driver's license and an OK letter that Colin could get the tat before they would do it since he was only 17. I wondered why they didn't just say his stepmom was "real" mom... but I didn't care, I faxed what they needed. I also paid for half the tat, I was in NJ, Colin was in Hawaii and somehow I still got on the hook for part of it. LOL

He got his second in Boston, he'll be getting a third soon. His 4th will be after A school graduation, we will be getting a mother/son tat.

My hubby has a almost done half sleeve kinda dedicated to the cg/nautical theme. I'll post pics if i can figure it out. Its pretty sweet. lol.

Pics we need pics...can't figure out how to get them to post...got a photo album started though.

Excellent try...thinking that the photo album is the way to go. If you upload a picture there and then let everyone know you have loaded a new picture we can click on you avatar and we will go to your social profile and get to see the pictures you have loaded. I have my avatar and a picture of Cape May loaded if you want to try it and see if it works on your end. I would suggest keeping the private pictures out of the mix :-)

If I copy and paste in another widow they come up...cool tats very intense!

man thats awesome. I'm going to get one there to cover my small pox shot, it tore my skin up, and 1 year later it looks like I just got it(minus all the junk that oozed out of it lol).

ok everyone I've added the pictures of the tattoos in my photo section..

okay anyone figure out how to look at people's photo sections?! I'm so confused.

Click on the picture to the left of a comment and it will take you to the profile. Then you can click on the photo tab at the top.. That should get you there!!

WOW Pmackey he went all out on those...no starting out small there!

Ok, what am I doing wrong?


I click on your little picture, and it takes me to a list of all the members of the site. On that list I search for "Pmackey" and it says 'no member found'.... clearly you are a member, so I'm not quite sure what's going on.....

Interesting...not sure what is wrong it works very well on my end. You are clicking the avatar picture correct? That should take you directly to Pmackey's or whomever you click on social profile page and the photos are right there (for Pmackey). Thought maybe it was a friends thing but I go directly to your page and we are not set up as friends yet...

Weird, I just checked, and I can get to your page just fine, but still no sign of a page for Pmackey....

I concur...weird!

I couldn't find Pmackey either when I just clicked the "P" list. :-(

Ok I've made it so "everyone" can see my profile.. you should be able to find me now.

Kyle- how did you get a signature?

Kyle- you are correct he went ALL out! But that's my Josh- He can't go small! Once he puts his mind to something- he just goes for it!

On the right side of teh page just below the helo picture section, click "My Settings" the signature option is there. Be sure to click the big "save" button at the bottom middle...not sure how but I missed that the first couple of attempts. The signature is a little bland...unable to change the font or colors or lay out of it that I know of at this time.

Kyle, you can add simple tags around your signature to customize it a little. example I added bold tags around mine to make it a little different. < b > text < / b > (...but without the spaces obviously)

Kyle- you aren't kidding! That's Josh for ya though.. he holds nothing back once he sets his mind on something. Been wanting one for years- I held him off as long as I could.. What a keepsake for his time in Hawaii though.. it will be with him for life. I told him he better hope he doesn't inherit my flabby arms cause a floppy anchor would NOT be cool. LOL
