Thanks MST...I asked you that question in the other post before seeing this one...I am sure this will be like teaching me how to add links with cool words on the other forum...not an easy task may I say. Computer talk way over my head! I will see if I can master it though... |

Sorry to repeat myself Kyle- I couldn't find my other post and thought it didn't work. LOL I guess there will be lots of mistakes until we all get this worked out. You guys gotta see this tat- I wonder what is preventing you from seeing it. Well, keep trying and let me know if you get a chance to see it. |

For everyone that asked if he came up with it. Yea he did in a way. The one on the top of his arm he wanted gods hands holding the compass but his tattoo guy tried it and it just didnt work so he came up with that for him, with his ideas too. and the second one was really kinda a blend between him and the tattoo artist again. His artist is awesome, the best one so far he's had. The next one he'll probably get will be a periscope with the old looking banners around it saying something. To fill in the backside of his arm. And maybe the one after that will be an american flag on the ball of his shoulder wrapping around to fill everything in. And then the half sleeve will be complete. =] |

My ex husband told our son "The only name you ever put on your body is MOM, she is the only one that will stand by you no matter what!" I have to believe my ex is correct on that one! Luckily COlni has yet to put a name on his body... and he had better not anytime too soon! |

Hi Marie!!! It's good to see you here! The tattoo was his first mark of independence. HA He thought I would be mad- but really I'm still just so proud of him making it through boot and out there so far from home living on his own "kinda" .. like getting mad would do any good. HA I did tell him I thought it was kinda pretty and made me want to put an anchor on my ankle... He freaked. LOL But we have lots of funny tattoo stories.. |

Haha! Nice Paula!! Way to scare him. Oh the joys of tattoos, the first time a 18 yr old can "make" that big choice. I got my first one when I was 17, mainly because I had seen my husband get 2 of them while we were dating. But I promise you Paula, in the tattoo world there is one saying.. You cant have just one which is the truth! either he will never get another again or he will get more. With my first one I was pretty sure thats all I wanted, but there like a bag of potato chips..you go awww one more wont hurt LOL. Now I have 4!!! |

Just remember- you too will be a mom one day and you will be sitting on the sideline of your childs life after wiping their butt and meeting their needs and wiping the tears and fixing the trucks and taking them here and there. You will have fought so many battles for that child then one day- Poof they are gone. You too will need to brace yourself for that! |

Don't blink... Paula & I and a whole bunch of other moms will tell you... We only just brought out babies home from the hospital last week, how is that they are in the CG and on ships and sailing the ocean blue, living 1000's of miles from home?!?!?! I always said having them is the easy part... it's bringing them home that is HARD!!! But there is nothing else like it in the world. |

Scotty got a huge tat of "Atlas" on the left arm and a bigger one with "Posiedon" on the other one. He said who better for a Coastie than the "God of the Sea". |

Poseidon? King of the Sea? More like Chicken of the Sea. King Neptune rules the briny deep. |

My son wants to do half sleeves on both arms... one arm bright, cheerful, happy sea creatures and a beautiful ship. The otehr sleeve dark, stormy, mean creatures and more of a ghost/pirate ship. Contrast of good & evil sort of thing. Good lord he is going to be the tattooed boy! |
