Once things get underway, they do so at flank speed. Have been in contact with local Flotilla Commander and Vice Flotilla Commander and have talked with them about working specifically in member services. Will be attending a meeting next week and have completed the relevant membership paperwork to expedite the process if the fit is good.
I have also been engaged in a cycle of PT, study, PT, study for the New Member Exam. I've reviewed and marked up the Reference guide thoroughly and and have started in on the 500 + page AUX manual. I visited the national Auxiliary HR site and took an online practice (I believe) examination, scoring 30/30.
I know this is an open-book, multiple-choice examination, but want to ensure that I put my best foot forward. Beyond studying AUXMAN and the New Member Reference Guide is there anything else I should be doing to prepare for the actual examination?
Any advisement would be greatly appreciated.
