One of the things I would do in the past - when things were slow on the aux boards - would be to get the discussions going again by posting something/anything on uniforms. This (almost) always got things going again, and even more so if it included any ribbons, badges or other bling on the uniform. Since both boards are getting slow right now, I'm posting on an old topic, that is, recognizing pre-existing quals in new members.
Case in point - Ham radio or GMRO technicians with extra training. I'm thinking a general class ham with 3 units of ARES or whatever could be awarded the comms badge as soom as IQ. And for non-hams, a way to make GMRO, or even GMRS, equivalent to ARES/HAM level could be explored. And just as SGAUS has made the MEMS specialist badge a standard across different organizations/forces, we should work an MOU with CAP,USPS, maybe even the US NSCC to standardize across fed auxiliaries...
I've included two pics. One rectangular like airborne badges and etc; the other square like army marksmanship badges and etc.
