Is 3d saying enlist today and you get a 2k sign up bonus? It doesn't appear to be linked to a rate. |

Yes, per paragraph 3. People shipping to basic on Tuesday are already getting their files updated to reflect the $2k bonus.

It appears that it is retroactive for those that haven't shipped yet. |

Your recruiter will add the new annex to your 1966 contract for your ship day, even if you just swore in the DEP without it. Your recruiter probably didn't have time to update your DEP package, nothing to worry about. Keep in mind there is only one person that goes in and updates the electronic recruiting file for ALL accessions into the CG and he is currently doing each ship week in order. |

Yes it is taxed 25% for whatever amount you decide to take. You could put it all in the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). You would get taxed when you take it out. Decisions, decisions! |

I heard from Captain Prestidge the CG is hurting for recruits. My bus had 36 recruits on it. There was not a second bus. They are trying to boost their enlistment numbers. Spread the word far and wide! I'll probably wander to my highschool and mention it to my former teachers. |

Bring in people and you'll be eligible for a letter of commendation or 72 hours of liberty in the forthcoming update to the Everyone Is A Recruiter campaign. Even with meeting FY16 mission the CG would still be short 1,700 non-rates. Every referral helps. |

What exactly does the first message mean when they deem the ratings critical? I'm asking for the ratings likeep IS, ME and A_T where the wait list is relatively long compared to FS, OS, ET and EM. |

It explains it in the message. They are critical because if they continue to keep the same throughput at A School, those ratings will be gapped at over 5%. So they put them on the critical list which will allow them to increase A School classes. They can do this because the wait lists are long. Basically the wait for A School for those rates will/should drop. |
