Would love to know about any updates to the experience.
    What was medical/dental like?
Did anyone have their wisdoms removed?
Did ya'll get a lot of shots?
    Traditional needles or air guns?
    What was the longest run?
How much time do you get to eat?
Any recommendations to make life easier?
Did you receive phone calls home? Letters?
    Five minute communal showers?
Were there any prior-service recruits in your company?

    Thank you in advance.

Medical and dental is better then you think. They're not company commanders so they treat you like a normal person.
    I got like 6 or 7 shots
I got all 4 wisdom teeth out. Some stay on base for it and some go off base. You get 1 day in the ward ( the bases hospital) then 2 days light duty of no yelling or physical stuff. 30 out of 86 got their teeth out in our company. It's not a bad thing
the longest run for us was like 3-4.miles and that is the cadence run so you're singing and makes the run 100% more bearable. Every company is different though.
You get 15min to eat. You get used to it
Easiest ways to get through bootcamp is make sure to memorize your helmsman before you come. Your rates, ranks, chain of command. Collar devices and stuff
No phone calls home until you call to tell your family where you're stationed and that's a very short call.
Letters as much as you want. They help you get through bootcamp
Showers aren't 5min you usually have 10-15min to shower, brush teeth, shave is a guy. Gel hair if a girl.
We had 2 people from army national guard

As far as the teeth removal, did they anesthetize you at all?

I've got a question for you!

As far as verbalizing rank goes...a PO3 for example... Is the shoulder insignia described as zero one red chevron, below zero one rating insignia, below zero one white crow on a field of blue?  Or is it a white eagle? I haven't heard if the bird is the word...

Also, collar devices...  Is it a Coast Guard Shield, or a Silver Shield?

For my company we would say zero one red chevron below zero one white crow. We didn't have to mention the rating insignia or field of blue. With collar devices we said zero one gold chevron below zero one silver shield. Just be warned that not all companies may say it the same, your CC's will let you know what they want.

Depends. Like I had all 4 out and I went off base and was under completely with an IV. Some people were awake with a lot of novacaine

Like Jdhusker said. They're changing it over to just the chevrons if a PO and chevron and star if a senior chief.  Same with officers, didn't have to mention field of blue or gold and for warrants it was only the band or bar mentioned. Most companies I've seen were the same way so I'd prepare that way
