I guess it is only fair to post my info after reading all of yours but I don't really like these because it always feels like I am either bragging or not providing information anyone cares about anyway.
I have been in the Coast Guard for about nine years as a helicopter pilot flying various versions of the H-65. I have been stationed in Borinquen, Puerto Rico, Mobile, Alabama, and now Port Angeles, Washington. I have had the opportunity to work with most Air Stations in the country and have worked with many small boat stations and cutters, as well, in the course of my job.
Before all of that I spent ten years in the Army. First as an enlisted member doing avionics work and then as a warrant officer flying AH-64 Apaches.
I just realized the other day that I have been in the military longer than I was a civilian so I guess I have been doing this for a long time.
I originally came onto this site a couple of years ago when xshiprider found me on another forum and asked me to come over to help a guy with a question about being a CG pilot and have come here on occassion ever since.
Thats about it. I am certainly willing to help with any questions you may have about CG life or operations. Just ask.
Life is hard. It's even harder when you're stupid.<!-- Edit -->
