It was definitely a task ( and a bit scary to pull the trigger and risk blowing everything up again)

I will be making a change to disallow duplicate DisplayNames.

This needs to be done to avoid confusion and to allow me to add what is known as a vanity url (ie: you will have a url http://www.uscg.org/{DisplayName}

So if your display name changes, it is because someone else had that same display name or you have multiple accounts.

The duplicate DisplayNames will have a number appended to it.

If your DisplayName changes you should immediately go into the settings and change it back so someone else doesn't take your name.

I will post here once I pull that trigger.

If you are able to merge my accounts, will I still have the same password on OldGuard as I had at the old site or will my new password for Old Guard take precedence? i am looking forward to it. i love seeing how much this site has grown since i found it three years ago. i am always amazed by the amount of increase there is with membership!!

There was a site outage last night - the hosting company said they needed to reset the server. I don't know any more than that.

The site looks great. I'm thinking Admin wears a red cape and has a large red "S" emblazoned on his chest. I have a pittance of a request though. I could use the ability to edit my posts... it would help tons.

I have increased the duration of the Edit to 24 hours.

Twice on this site...the font size and now inbox notification...spell check would make a trifecta...lol

Never even came close to winning a lottery and have not played in years probably closer to 10 years...referencing Gears slam on me back when the font size change...
