My recruiter went on leave the day after I submitted my initial screening form so I wanted to see if I will have any chance at getting selected with my credentials. I'm 28 with no medical issues and just went through the physical at MEPS so that is cleared.  I have student loans, a car payment and credit card payments but I've never been late and my credit is around 680.  I recently just lost my job so how will that affect my debt/income ratio?  Is that an instant DQ?

Here is a rundown of my background:

    Education
    Degree: B.S. in Criminal Science

    Military Service
    Prior Service: Army National Guard
    MOS: 13P - Field Artillery
    TIS: 6 years
    ASVAB: 90

    Law Violations:
Underage drinking ticket (19/20) in 2008 that was dismissed and expunged

Letters of Recommendation will be the following:

Navy Captain (O6) who works at USCYBERCOMMAND currently and worked in Information Dominance at the Pentagon.
Army LT Colonel (O5) whom I worked with on my deployment to Egypt in the Guard
Army Major (O4) who works in Military Intelligence at the Pentagon

Leadership experience mainly comes from the National Guard and always having been put in job roles that were above my pay grade. One example is when we were deployed to Egypt as an E4, I was put in a role as the Liaison NCO, which was the assistant to the Liaison officer who was a LT Colonel. I was the only E4 chosen for that position in the 30+ year history of that mission. Duties included being the middle man in discussions with Egyptian and Israeli Armies. I also spent a ton of time with different nation's officers including Italy and France.

Let me know what you guys think and I appreciate you taking the time to look at my background!   My only concerns are the dismissed drinking ticket and debt/income ratio.  My recruiter went on leave the day after I submitted the initial screening so I wont hear back from him for at least a week he said.

I know that I will be starting over as an E3 and that I will be supervised by people younger than me.  That doesn't bother me at all.  They earned their rank and the right to be over me and I need to put in the work myself to get there.

None of us here are making the decision as to whether or not you qualify. Wait for your recruiter to return from leave
