    I posted this in a general boating message board...Should've been here.
      I have an older powerboat with a KIDDE built-in CO2 system, still charged and OK.  What's the Coast Guard's posture on this type of system?  Is it legal?  Can I keep it?  Does it satisfy the Regs.?  If it's no good, can it be charged with something else, or must it be removed?
      If this should be posted somewhere else, let me know.

    If you haven't found the Coast Guard Boating Safety website, the page on Fire Extinguishers might help. If not, you'll probably have to have it inspected.
