I'm attempting to enter the Coast Guard as enlisted. passed the ASVAB and qualify for every job so that's out of the way, but I'm having trouble with MEPS. I'm 24 and have some minor curvature to my spine (you could never tell by looking at me). MEPS wants all the medical records which I understand, but I am also curious what else I could possibly do to speed up the process. They did not accept a "to whom it may concern" letter which states that my condition does not hinder any physical activity at all. However I was by MEPS pre-selection that since it is an ongoing issue and requires treatment I may be disqualified. A friend of mine recommended I see another doctor, a sports doctor to be specific to see if they would accept a "second opinion" so to speak, but lately I am unsure.
