I hate to revive a topic that is already on here, but the other thread gave conflicting information.
I'm shipping out to DEPOT on Oct 1, and like any great hockey player I have decently big thighs. When I run or play hockey I wear 9" compression shorts. During my everyday life I wear 6" compression shorts. The helmsman in my hand says I can bring 4" inseam BLACK compression shorts. Now 4" isn't even going to reach the spot where my thighs touch (74cm tall). I've seen a couple videos where recently graduated coasties show some clearly 6" inseam black compression shorts that they brought.
Does anyone have recent experience with this subject? Can I wear compression shorts all the time, as I don't plan on ever wearing tighty whiteys? I'd like to just bring 6-9 pairs (as described in the helmsman) of compression shorts. I feel pretty good that this is my one main worry, but when there is a lot of activity I want to be as comfortable as I can given the circumstances, otherwise I may end up in medical over critical levels of chaffing
Anyway, any recent experience is appreciated.
