Hey there. I just wanted to let you know what I do know about coming into the CG. I just went through it within the past six months. I was prior service Army and CG, but I only had six years. The most important thing that it seams you may have to worry about is the age limit. If you have been in for 14 years, I am sure that you are getting very close to the max age limit, which is 32 being prior service. I was right at that, and the only thing that helped me was being prior CG I think? But as far as the time in service, Like I said, I just went through PITSTOP which is the CG bootcamp for prior service and we had a few people with 10-12 years for sure. They didn't get any trouble for their time in service, but the age did give them a little grief. Their are always waivers that can be applied for as well. Another thing is your M.O.S. If you aren't a medic, I don't think that there are any other jobs that cross over, maybe store keeper, "supply"? So it would be very possible for you to have to come in as a E-3? But don't be discouraged, you can make rank back very quickly in the CG, Depending on what job, "rate" that you choose. I hope that I have been somewhat helpful. But as far as services go, I really do think that you would be making a very wise decision. Good Luck!!
