I am looking to enlist Active Duty hopefully within the next 2 years (my soon to be wife is finishing up a degree at the moment, so waiting until she is closer to done with that)
I'm interested in Culinary Specialist as my rate - I am curious if that would make it hard ot eventually become an officer, or if your Enlisted rate matters very much? I originally was most interested in Public Affairs (my bachelors is in a Liberal Arts focus) but my recruiter told me there are so few PAs that it is realllly hard to advance.
What can I do in the meantime to help strengthen myself as a future applicant if I am going to be a civilian for another year or two?
In the process of hopefully joining the Aux, and also have been volunteering so anything else that I haven't thought of yet or should try to do/accomplish?
