Hell yeah. Can't wait. How you guys doing with your fitness and memorization?

I am ok with my physical fitness but have to solidify my required knowledge more. I just have to find the motivation to finish memorizing everything. How are you doing with memorizing everything?

It was tough as first, the General Orders were the most difficult for sure. Once you're able to write them down from memory, you're good to go. Then the ranks, knowing your E's and O's and describing their insignia and devices, but its easier as it builds up. Honestly, it's just repetition over and over again. I try to take an hour a day to go over everything. I made flash cards which definitely helped. Having something quiz you will make the difference.

I wish I knew more about PT, what kinds of exercising they use and go through. My recruiter tested my PT graduation standards before he even signed me off to go - I'm more interested in day to day.

There really isn't any "PT" as a group other than the PT test and swim test. There is "IT" which is basically punishment, and it doesn't consist of anything you would be able to really train for. Focus on the PT test standards to make sure you can pass them with flying colors, and just study, study, study. The rest you just kind of have to deal with, because there's no avoiding it. I am prior service USCG, went to Cape May in June 2003...to be honest I don't remember much. I will be shipping out Jan 6th as well. I will be coming in as E3 as I didn't want to do my old rate anymore...going BM to HS. See everyone next weekend! Happy new year!
